Objective To evaluate effective and adverse event of Xinxuekang Soft Capsules for type 2 diabetes. Methods Seventy-six patients with type 2 diabetes were randomly divided into Xinxuekang Soft Capsules group (treatment group) and control group. Patients of treatment group were treatment with Xinxuekang Soft Capsules, while control group was treatment with placebo having same appearance. The treatment lasted 3 months. Blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin, blood lipids, and C-reactive protein before and after treatment were recorded. Results After treatment, blood glucose, serum insulin, glycated hemoglobin, blood lipids, and C-reactive protein were significantly reduced. The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion Xinxuekang Soft Capsules can improve metabolic abnormalities of patients with type 2 diabetes, has reliable effect, good compliance, and no adverse events.
